Roles

A role links individual users to groups. Each user is assigned one role. The role gives the user all the permissions that are in the group associated with it for the area related to the user's membership. For example, a role might be Requester 1. It might be associated with a group that has the permission to create and edit requests for transport jobs in the TransportTracking^™ application. When a user is assigned to the Requester 1 role, the user then has those permissions for the area related to the user's membership.
